Help Reali Foundation protect young hearts on Staten Island
The Frank J Reali III Family Foundation is hosting its fifth annual memorial dinner Wednesday, May 2, at 7 p.m. at Li Greci’s Staaten. Tickets for the event are $100 per person and reservations can be made by calling 718-420-2331 or e-mailing RealiFoundation@aol.com.
The “Heart of a Champion Award” will be bestowed on community members who are generous with their efforts supporting charitable organizations and youth-oriented activities. They are Charlie Balducci, founder and president of the NycArtsCypher, a Stapleton-based nonprofit organization that promotes positive values through arts and entertainment and the social chair of the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation’s 40 under 40 Leadership Group;
Cory Schifter, owner of Casale Jewelers;
Steven Villamarin, owner of Villa Marin GMC is New Dorp and Elm Park;
Tracie Diggs of Westerleigh community development officer at Victory State Bank, and co-chair of the 21st Century Business Woman’s Conference for the or the SI Women’s Network;
Hal and Pearl Minsky, both retired educators. Mr. Minsky is a former principal with the Department of Education in Queens, associate professor at St. John’s University for 26 years and associate professor at St. Joseph’s College for 5 years. Mrs. Minsky was a special education teacher and instructor at St. John’s University and St. Joseph’s College. She is an Advance Woman of Achievement who founded Theatre Rehabilitation for Youth.
Grandmother’s Club 899, dedicated to raising funds to support innovative research which focuses on the causes and treatment and cure of childhood diseases;
Alan Paturzo, head coach of Susan Wagner High School’s football team with six PSAL city championships;
Jerry Amerosi, owner of Gerald Peters Goldmine and Pandora in the Staten Island Mall and a coach and sponsor for the South Shore Little League;
Melissa Rabinovich, executive editor of NY 1 News and chair of the First Foot Forward committee, the Jewish Community Center’s special education preschool program for ages 3 to 5;
Richard Grado, owner of Creative Media, a full service print and mailing services firm;
Joel and Bonnie Bibula, volunteers with many charitable organizations such as Theater Rehabilitation for Youth. Mr. Bibula is the director of community outreach at Staten Island Community Television (SICTV).
The Frank J Reali III Family Foundation’s mission is to screen young people for heart issues that may lead to sudden cardiac death.
